We are delighted to announce that the Dublin Simon Community Medical Residential Treatment Facility was a double award winner at Friday night’s Irish Construction Industry Awards!
The project achieved double recognition as Contractor Health Project of the Year and the coveted Overall Project of the Year award.
This recognition is a testament to the commitment, expertise, and shared vision of everyone who played a part in bringing this transformative project to life. It reflects the passion, precision and collaboration that defined the journey — from the earliest concept to completion and celebrates what can be achieved when teams unite behind a common purpose: creating spaces that truly change lives.
Located on Usher’s Island in Dublin, this purpose-built facility provides 100 beds and specialised medical and recovery services for individuals experiencing homelessness. The six-storey extension features modern amenities including gyms, counselling and meeting rooms, and semi-acute medical spaces designed to support detoxification, rehabilitation, and care for blood-borne viruses.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Dublin Simon Community management team, O’Connell Mahon Architects, and the entire design and project team, whose collaboration and dedication were central to this project’s success. Managed by the Dublin Simon Community and partially funded by the Department of Housing, this facility represents a transformative enhancement to Dublin’s healthcare infrastructure — and a shared commitment to building with purpose and compassion.
