Description

This Project involved preservation and restoration works to the Protected 18th.’ Century courtyard buildings in the grounds of Portumna Castle. External works to the existing building fabric included roofing works, external lime based rendering and repair of existing stonework, repairs of existing windows and provisions of new windows. Internal works included provision of hoist for disabled access and associated works, removal of walls and widening of opes, upgrading structures to fire standards, structural strengthening and repairs throughout, repairs to existing plasterwork and new plasterwork, new floors and repairs to existing, repairs to existing joinery and full decoration to a high standard, together with new mechanical and electrical installations. External works consist of landscaping, paving and drainage works.
