We were thrilled to participate in National Workplace Wellbeing Day on Friday the 12th of April.
As part of our ongoing commitment to workplace well-being we organised a number of events to mark the day. The Construction Workers Health Trust visited our Dominick Street site and our site at Peamount Healthcare. Individual health screenings took place for individuals that signed up prior to the visit. The following tests were carried out on 48 individuals, Blood Pressure; Full Cholesterol Screen; Lung Function Test; Diabetes Test; Height Weight & BMI.
Each individual was given their test results on the spot along with a booklet explaining all of the results in addition to heart health advice, cancer awareness and dietary advice.
This year we had 35 members of staff participate in the Annual Great Ireland Run, which was held in the Phoenix Park. Participants used the 12 week training plan provided by Duggan Brothers to ensure that they were race fit. Congratulations to all that took part and to our winners:
1st – Sean Reidy
2nd – Terry Grimes
3rd Rory Skeath
Health and Wellbeing is just as important in the workplace as it is at home. We recognise as a company that most of our employees day is spent in the workplace. As a result, it is our responsibility to promote and encourage a healthy workplace.
Over the next number of months, we are working towards introducing a health and well-being plan. A healthy workplace, equates to a healthy company!
