It is with great sadness that we share the news of the sudden passing of our friend and colleague, Chris Gilmartin.
As part of the wider Duggan Brothers family of businesses, RTC has always valued the strong relationships that sit at the heart of our organisation. Chris was a much-loved part of that family, having been associated with RTC for more than 20 years — first as an employee, then as a consultant and for the past five years, as a Contracts Manager within our Siphonic division.
Chris’s knowledge, expertise and industry experience were exceptional and his contribution was valued across the organisation. But beyond his professional abilities, it was Chris himself who made such a lasting impression. He was clever, funny, hardworking and a genuinely great colleague and friend. His warmth, humour and willingness to help others will be greatly missed.
His sudden passing has left a huge void for everyone who knew him across RTC and Duggan Brothers.
Our deepest sympathies are with Chris’s family and loved ones at this incredibly difficult time. We hope they can take some comfort from knowing how highly Chris was regarded and how many people cared for him.
In Chris’s memory, Duggan Brothers and RTC have made a donation to West Cork Rapid Response.
We are grateful for the many years Chris gave to our businesses and for the knowledge, laughter, friendship and memories he leaves behind.
Rest in peace, Chris. You will be deeply missed.
