The National Archives Building
The redevelopment of the National Archives at Bishop Street, Dublin 8, involves the substantial removal...
Delivered for Lumcloon Energy, this project saw the successful energisation of Ireland’s first 100MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and 110kV contestable substation at Derrcarney, Co. Offaly.
The project included the full design, installation, and commissioning of a 110/33kV Independent Power Producer (IPP) substation and the Lumcloon BESS. This comprised 40 Medium Voltage Power Skids (MVPS) and battery containers, now fully installed and operational.
Commissioned by ESB Networks, the facility supports the national grid by storing excess energy and supplying it back during peak demand. It plays a vital role in stabilising power supply and supporting renewable integration.
