Description

This project comprises of the refurbishment and internal fitting -out of the hospitality and support areas on Level 1 & 2 of
the main building in Leopardstown Racecourse, provision of new facilities and associated services including replacement
glazing, re-roofing existing courtyard, asbestos removal and ancillary work- There was a total of 40 separate work packages involved including extensive M&E all of which were managed and coordinated by our experienced management team
in two separate handover phases.

This demanding project has two handover phases, Duggan Brothers (Contractors) Ltd handed over the 1st Phase of the
Phase 2a Re-development of Leopardstown Racecourse in time for the The Longines Irish Champions Weekend which took
place on 12th to 13th September 2015.

Duggan Brothers (Contractors) Ltd handed over the 2nd Phase of the Phase 2a Re-development of Leopardstown Racecourse on 22/12/2015 in time for the the annual Leopardstown Christmas Festival which took place from 26th Dec to 29th
Dec 2015.

Main Elements of the Works included: Asbestos removal:Demolitions and alterations;Mechanical and Electrical Installations; Internal solid blockwork walls and stud partitions;Structural steel frames for the lift-shaft; Steel supports for the
courtyard’ furniture store; External glazed entrance facades, aluminium doors and frames, steel doors and frames;
Floor, wall, and ceiling finishes;Provision of building services; namely drainage, water, supply-air, lighting, fire-alarm system,
electrical power; together with associated builder’s work. Replacement of three No.’ existing escalators. Internal and external balustrading/ hand-rails.

The project was carried out in a live Premises with the minimum of disruption to the Clients daily activities.
