Setting Out Engineer

We are currently seeking a Setting Out Engineer for the Dublin Region. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years’ experience and will be offered the opportunity to progress and develop their career with Duggan Brothers.

Key Points

Role and responsibilities:

 Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations
 Monitoring and Interpreting the contract design documents supplied by the client/ architect
 Liaising with consultants/ subcontractors/ supervisors/ planners/ quantity surveyors etc
 Liaising with clients and their representatives, including attending regular meetings to keep them informed
 Planning work and efficiently organizing site facilities in order to meet agreed timelines
 Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise
 Setting out, levelling and surveying the site
 Overseeing Quality Control and the implementation of the company H&S policy on site
 Preparing reports as required

Minimum Requirements:

 Minimum 2 years’ experience
 Relevant Degree
 Strong written communication abilities and an attention to detail
 Confident and experienced in the use of Microsoft Office; Project and PowerPoint
 Have the ability to work on own initiative
